Rising seniors (aka current juniors, aka the class of 2025) only

Where: University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS



Activities include

  • Instruction in applied physics

  • Collaborative projects in real-world research environments, including autonomous race cars and drones

  • Modern computer programming, such as Python and robot operating systems

  • Introductory programing of open-source autopilot systems like NVIDIA’s Racer RTX, Dronecode, and ArduPilot, with actual validation experiments

  • Career advice and an introduction to college life in beautiful Lawrence, KS

  • Fun activities, including a day at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun

The Advanced Aerospace Technologies Exploration Experience (AATEE) camp is a two-week experience for rising high-school seniors in rural Kansas who are interested in aerospace and computer science, organized by CReSIS at KU and REC at K-State as a part of the ARISE grant.
